Terms of Service

Last Updated: July 2026

Look. Nobody actually likes reading these pages. But we need ground rules to keep this site running and keep the lawyers happy. Read these Terms of Service carefully before you start copying Bash scripts and reading articles on MyAngle (myangle.net).

I initiated a research activity this month testing how often automated bots scrape developer blogs, and the results were frankly alarming. So, look, we need strict boundaries. By accessing this website, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you disagree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.

1. Code Usage & Intellectual Property

I write about development and automation. The specific code snippets, Terraform configurations, Python scripts, and Docker files I post within the articles are here to help you. You are completely free to use them in your own personal or commercial projects. You don't even have to credit me (though it's always appreciated).

Here is the catch. You cannot steal my writing. Do not fire up a headless Puppeteer instance, scrape my entire blog, and republish my articles as your own content on another domain. The written content, layout, and original graphics are the intellectual property of MyAngle.

2. Disclaimer of Warranties (The "As-Is" Rule)

The materials on MyAngle are provided on an 'as is' basis. I make no warranties, expressed or implied. I specifically disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

I have spent 13 years working with databases and web frameworks. I share exactly what works for me on my specific Linux servers. However, I do not warrant that the configurations I share will run perfectly on your specific hardware or software environment. Server configurations change. APIs get deprecated. The tech world moves fast, and some legacy articles will naturally become outdated.

3. Limitations of Liability

I said this in the Disclaimer, and I will say it again here. Under no circumstances shall MyAngle or its owner be held liable for any damages arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on this website. This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of data, server downtime, profit loss, or business interruption.

If you run a raw SQL query from this blog and it wipes out your TrueNAS storage or drops a production table because you didn't test it in staging first? That is entirely on you.

4. User Conduct

Building a homelab or configuring local AI with Ollama takes patience. If we open up comments or allow email interactions, keep it professional. We all get frustrated with messy codebases, but personal attacks, spam, or malicious behavior will not be tolerated. I reserve the right to permanently block the IP address of anyone attempting to exploit the site, upload malicious payloads, or spam the contact forms.

5. Third-Party Links

MyAngle contains links to external websites, GitHub repositories, and official documentation for tools like Hugo or Next.js. I do not review all the sites linked from this blog. I am not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by MyAngle. You click those links entirely at your own risk.

6. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with standard international web regulations. While I operate out of Indonesia, this blog targets a global audience of developers. Any legal claim relating to MyAngle shall be handled amicably or through the appropriate local legal jurisdiction without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

7. Modifications to these Terms

I can revise these Terms of Service at any time without notice. By using this website, you agree to be bound by the current version of these Terms of Service.

Still have questions about how these rules apply? Send an email to hello@myangle.net and let's sort it out.
